Visit of Auditor General of the Republic of Lithuania to NIK, 7 September 2009.

On 7 September 2009 Mr Jacek Jezierski hosted at the NIK Ms Rasa Budbergytė, Auditor General of Lithuania. The main aim of the visit was to discuss condition of cooperation between NIK and Lithuanian SAI and to familiarized with topics especially interesting for Lithuanian side: co-operation between the SAI and internal audit of audited entities, municipal audit and external audit of private sector. The visit was summing up by discussion on dissemination among all the audited entities of the best practice and the information regarding regular and systematic weaknesses and violations. Both sides agreed that next year the cooperation between NIK and LNAO will be taken up by trilateral (with Slovak SAI) parallel audit "Assurance of Epizootic State Safety after Accession to the Schengen Zone".
